About the R Playground
The R Playground is where three of my interests meet: board games, game theory and data science in R. Digging under the hood of a good board game to find the math that underlies both the workings of the game itself as well as the strategies that work is a deeply satisfying way of applying the methods and skills in data analysis and modelling that I have been teaching myself for several years now. The blog is built using wix.com and is part of the R-bloggers circle. I hope this blog can be a reminder to myself of the things i've learned to do in R, and I hope that it can perhaps inspire some of you to have a go at it too.
I'm a data scientist with a background in evolutionary biology. I have been using R intermittently since 2013, but have been getting really serious about it since the last two years of my PhD.
